Program installation

From WebLogAnalyzer.biz

Run allsubmitter.exe and simply follow the installation instructions.

The program uses the Firebird database server. FireBird can work in two modes:

• In a network mode, when several users can work with one program base.
• And in a common local mode, which is set by default(Integrated Firebird).

If you need simultaneous work of several users, or you need to run several copies of the program on your PC, the integrated Firebird will not give you such possibility, so just download and install the Firebird database server.

And change a connection type “Menu-Settings-Parameters-Server type (Local server)”.

Warning
If you are installing a new version or reinstalling the program, close the old copy of AllSubmitter and AllSubmitter Scheduler

Network Database

You can adjust a full-function network database in your office, if necessary.

To do this, each PC should have its own license for AllSubmitter, the Firebird server should be installed on one of the PCs.

Connection to the PC (server), on which the database is installed, should be adjusted on all other PCs (clients).

Example:
PC1 is a server, its IP is 192.168.0.1, the database is in the following directory:
С:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\AllSubmitter\db\allsubmitter.fdb
PC2 is a client, its IP is 192.168.0.2
PC3 is a client, its IP is 192.168.0.3
...
PCN is a client  

On all PC clients 2-N you should choose
“Menu-Settings-Parameters-Server type (Remote server)”
Server name: 192.168.0.1
Database: С:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\AllSubmitter\db\allsubmitter.fdb

Attention! A path to the database must be the same as to the server.

Note!

The program database is in the folder: Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\AllSubmitter\db\allsubmitter.fdb by default, on a disk, where the operating system is installed.

Connection type: Integrated Firebird.

Important

It is strongly recommended to make reserve copies of databases regularly.

Warning
You cannot just take and copy the file allsubmitter.fdb, you may damage the database.

To do this you should click “Menu-Settings-Parameters-Backup”. Close all tools, disconnect all clients using the given base before recovery of the base from a reserve copy.

FAQ

Does it take long to install the program after update?

Wait or clean the folder: X:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\WebLogAnalyzer\AllSubmitter\tmp\
